Walt Disney
Walt Disney is the creator and father of mickey mouse and almost every other Disney creation. He thought up, created, and published all of the characters, stories, movies, books, and other sources of media. He was an innovated person and changed history through his movies and characters. While other cartoonists were stealing ideas from each other and copying older cartoons, Walt Disney made creations that were original, enjoyable, and something for the entire family, regardless of age to enjoy together.
"Your dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway."
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago Illinois, to his father Elias Disney, and mother Flora Call Disney. Walt was one of five children, four boys and a girl. after he was born, he moved to Marceline, Missouri, where he lived most of his life. He showed an early interest in art, selling it to the neighbors for extra money. During the fall of 1918, he enlisted for the military. He was turned down because he was underage, but he worked in driving ambulances and chauffeuring officers. When he got back from France, he started in his cartoon career. On July 13, 1925, he married one of his first employees, Lillian Bounds, in Lewiston, Idaho. Later on they would be blessed with two daughters, Diane and Sharon . He lived his whole life making movies and is one of the most celebrated artists throughout the world.
"The life and ventures of Mickey Mouse have been closely bound up with my own personal and professional life. It is understandable that I should have sentimental attachment for the little personage who played so big a part in the course of Disney Productions and has been so happily accepted as an amusing friend wherever films are shown around the world. He still speaks for me and I still speak for him."
In December of 1966, after a lifetime of animation work, Walt Disney lost his battle with lung cancer. He was just sixty-five years old. He was buried in Glendale, California, with a private ceremony. During his long career, Walt Disney had managed to win an astounding number of awards and honors for his work. Mickey, however, lives on, through the imagination, love and support of his fans. He still magically lives on with his friends---Minnie Mouse, Morty, Ferdie, Pluto, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Maxie, and the many, many others that were created by Disney and his company. He is everywhere, on shirts, mugs, in stores, all over the world. Disney truly changed the world through his characters, ideas, and mostly Mickey Mouse, who is an inspiration to all.
"When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do. And one thing it takes to accomplish something is courage."
